Tournament Results - March 26 - 50 Point SR 2011

Went to Rydiafan's SR 2011 tournament yesterday.  I really meant to take photos, but I was really distracted by the games and never remembered to do so.  In the end, I went 2-1 during the day, winning against Trollbloods from Chicago and Cygnar from Madison.  I lost against Mercenaries from Madison.  This gave me the second place coin!  Woot! I learned quite a bit on what I can do in the future to make up for some of my downfalls in the games, but overall, I'm very happy with my progress with the faction.


Some of the things I've learned:

• Remember the scenario.  I forgot the scenario in one game and I might have won it otherwise.
• I'm playing attrition armies.  Almost every one of my games went to time.  I need to get used to playing full rounds every game.  To practice, I'm going to use a timer of my own to figure out when the rounds end.
• Learn all of my abilities.  I kept having to look at cards.  It sucked.
• Start memorizing my opponent's stats and abilities.  I've wanted to do this for a long time, but never got around to it.
• Play more scenario games to learn which list to take when.
• Remember that it is a game, but still play to win.  It is still fun even if I'm winning.
• As a caveat to the last point, don't get tied up if my opponent isn't having fun.  They'll be fine.  They'll find a way to have fun as well.

I brought the two lists I posted here.  I'm thinking that even though Grand Exemplar Kreoss is fantastic, I'll be running Feora, Protector of the Flame more now, cause she offers ranged options my lists are missing a bit.
