Painted Captain Caine

So, yes, I need to finish his base, but hell if he isn't the rest of the way done. Very happy with how he turned out. The face, hair, and armor turned out exactly like I hoped for! Very happy to have this guy done! Enjoy!

WIP Caines

I'm working on painting both Lieutenant Allister Caine and Captain Allister Caine. The models are pretty much identical in gear, making it easy to paint one, then paint the exact same color in the same place on the other model. This is two of the six basic colors on the model, not including flesh, hair, or eyes (which add 5ish colors).

Painted Iron Lich Overseers and Scavenger

On Friday, I finished two of these models, the second Overseer and the Scavenger. They finish the Witch Coven of Garlghast's second Theme Force, putting me to a total of 12 painted 50 point tier-4 Theme Forces.

Painted Iron Lich Overseer

Working on the second Theme Force for the Witch Coven of Garlghast means I need to paint 2 Iron Lich Overseers. Well, here is the first. The second, which will match this, is going to be done soon too.

Chooser of the Slain

The Space Wolves have an option in their codex that no model exists for: the Chooser of the Slain.

Painted Ragman

I needed to get my Ragman painted to start playing some kickass lists without Bane Thralls, Wraith Engine, or Goreshade the Bastard. :) I've got some Colossal cracking lists that need some playtime and Ragman gets a front row seat to provide help.

I painted him in about 36 minutes, which is probably the fastest I've ever painted a model. I'm happy with how he came out, he does well for what I'm going for. He's my 390th painted model as well. I'm getting pretty close to 400 now!

Finished Kraken

After my friend Michael convinced me to paint the rivets, I had a swell time doing that. It is the most evil thing anyone can suggest. :P I'm really happy to have finished this beast and can move onto other projects. He's getting a game Tuesday to try him with the new paintjob.

Painted Circle Theme Forces

These are the three fully painted Theme Forces for Circle Orboros I completed in 2012.

Kraken, Bit By Bit.

For the last week now, I've been working on getting my Kraken fully painted so I can play it. I'm really excited to use it more with Asphyxious the Hellbringer but also with Warwitch Deneghra and Pirate Queen Skarre. The Kraken has so many uses and is really versatile in its operation. I'd like to get more playtime with it, but it needs to get painted before it can see any table time (new rule this year).

To paint it, I kept the Kraken in 4 parts. I had the legs, the body, and the two claws separate. The body prevents me from getting to some angles on the legs and the legs prevents the same to the body. The claws/arms prevent access to both. It was just easier to have everything separate and paint it that way. It is a lot lighter as well.

A New Year...

So, I haven't posted in awhile. So long in fact that I didn't really post anything of what was new in December or what I've been working on. What can I say, December was pretty crazy. :)

In this month, I painted Cassius and Wurmwood, 4 Gallows Groves, 2 units of Stonewards and Woldstalkers, a Blackclad Wayfarer and a Scarsfell Griffon. These finished up the 3 Theme Forces I was working on for Circle, Baldur1's, Baldur2's, and Cassius' second Theme Force. Pretty happy to get up to 10 fully painted Theme Forces.

Without further ado, the painted models...

More Usefull Terrain

So, I had about 1/2 an hour to kill so me and my boy whipped up some better terrain:

Useless Terrain

Did a couple test pieces of terrain for my urban table I'm planning.  In my mind they're a bit of fail as they have no purpose, but they only took about 15 minutes of work time to complete.

New Previews: Morvahna the Dawnshadow and Vyros, Incissar of the Dawnguard

Privateer let the horses out on the release previews today! We have Vyros, Incissar of the Dawnguard and Morvahna the Dawnshadow on their cavalry mounts. Morvahna was a bit of a surprise to be Light Cavalry, but I think that fits her playstyle well and the look and feel of the Circle Orboros army. Also, she looks regal on that skirovik mountain goat. I can't wait to paint her and her regular version at the same time.

Space Wolves

Painted up some Space Wolves for Adepticon; I'm going to be in 2 of the smaller events, Combat Patrol and the Sin of Alacrity.  Here are the first of my Grey Hunters squads.

Painted General Ossrum

Continuing the Mercenary warcasters, here's General Ossrum. He's a great model, full of character, and rather easy to paint. I'm happy how he came out because I was worried that the scheme I wanted for my Rhulic forces wouldn't look good and this one does. Very happy with that.

New Preview: Afflictor

Legion of Everblight is getting an interesting new warbeast, the Afflictor. Somehow it spawns Incubi when it hits a target which can have some great uses in game. Getting more Incubi for free is always a plus. I really want to see the rules of it.

New Preview: Rask!

Well, the first Minion warlock has his model released. Rask is a badass from his NQ stats. I'm very excited to see what he has to offer and how he changes the metagame around the Gatormen with Gargantuans.

Painted Fiona the Black

Continuing my Mercenary painting campaign, I've completed Fiona the Black. I was shocked by how easy she was to paint as her photo on Privateer Press scared the hell out of me, painting-wise. Turns out that she's a very easy model to paint. I even spent the time to make sure all the purple was white-lined because it looked like ass without it. Here she is in all her Thamarite splendor!

Painted Captain Bartolo Montador

Continuing on the painted warcasters, here's Captain Bartolo Montador. I've had him half finished for a long time now. Cleaned up the paint (cause it was bad) and finished him up in time to run the Galleon. :)

Painted Magnus Models

I'm working through warcasters/warlocks now on my goal to get them all painted. This puts me at 40 models with these two done. I did them both at the same time because I really liked the paint scheme and thought it would make it easier to have them both in front of me at once. I was right on this because it took only 4 hours to paint both of them. I'm very happy about that.

Painted Asphyxious the Hellbringer and Vociferon

I've had great success with Asphyxious the Hellbringer in my games. I'm 7-1 so far with him. He's so survivable and I really look forward to trying out different playstyles with him. By far my favorite new warcaster in a long time.

New Preview: Galleon!

I've been waiting to see what this model looked like since the concept art in Colossals and the 3D images we've seen of it. I'm happy to say that I'm really impressed by the model and will likely own one, if not two!
Pirates ho!

Finished Woldwatcher and WIP Druids of Orboros

I finished my second Woldwatcher after getting the Woldwrath done. Going from the Woldwrath to the Woldwatcher was crazy...I finished all the colors up in less than 2 hours and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Finished Woldwrath

I finally got motivated to finish the Woldwrath. It feels really, really good to have him done. Now I just have to pick the next couple of models to paint...

He's painted in the same style as all of my Wolds, light stone with green runes and orange/red leaves. I'm very happy to have him done and I think he looks great. Baldur and Cassius are going to enjoy their new toy!

Woldwrath WIP 2

Continuing with my Woldwrath from before, I'm much further along then before. I've finished all the green in the groves across the entire model. I've also got the layer of wood down to get a drybrush and it'll be finished. I really just have to finish the ropes, that last drybrush, and clean up all the little mistakes I've made along the way. I'm pretty happy with him currently.
