Painted Midas

Finished the final Farrow warlock I needed for Adepticon. Midas looks pretty good for me not being able to paint blood or flayed flesh well at all. I want to play Farrow again now, thanks Faction ADD...

Painted Rask

Rask is a pretty cool model. So many paint schemes can be applied to him that make him look awesome. You can easily find skins of Murlocs from World of Warcraft to place onto him and he'd look great. I went for something very similar to the base scheme from Privateer Press. Took only 2ish hours to paint, pretty happy to have him done.

At this point, I'm 75% of the way done with the Minion warlocks. I have Strum & Drang and Midas left to do for warlocks. I still have Lug and Skarath to paint for the Lesser Warlocks, but I'm not worrying about them until after Adepticon.

My plan for Rask's theme force is to paint two units in his scheme, one unit in the default Privateer Press scheme, and a fourth unit in a different scheme I don't have yet. The two units in Rask's scheme will be his personal enforcers and they'll ambush more often than not. The unit in Privateer's scheme will be Rask's bodyguards, the Bog Trogs he doesn't trust. They get the benefit of dying for Rask. The fourth is really up for debate on how it plays, but should be fun. That is, if I can finish the first unit...

Painted Calaban, The Grave Walker

As per my usual lately, finished another Minion warlock, this time it being Calaban. I was a little afraid of this model due to the checkerboard on the mask, but that turned out to be pretty easy as the details were there. For a simple model, he has a ton of colors and a lot to paint on him. Very impressed with him.

Here's the mad doctor himself. I'm happy with how sinister the model came out. I really want to play Minions now, specifically Farrow.

Painted Lord Carver, BMMD, Esq. III

Finished my second Minions warlock, Lord Carver. I'm pretty impressed by how regal he came out.

Painted Brun Cragback

Finished with the lesser warlocks now. Just have to finish their warbeasts (after Adepticon).

Painted Dahlia Hallyr

Working on the Minion solo warlocks, finished Dahlia Hallyr. I've never really played with her in game, but when I switch back to Retribution, I'd start playing her and Skarath as a flanking force. She's got some pretty good abilities that really get overshadowed and I'd like to see how they work with Garryth.

New Preview: Rask!

Well, the first Minion warlock has his model released. Rask is a badass from his NQ stats. I'm very excited to see what he has to offer and how he changes the metagame around the Gatormen with Gargantuans.

Assembled Some Models

It has been awhile since I've really done anything productive with the hobby. I haven't really painted all that much. I think Lord Arcanist Ossyan was the last model I've painted and I need to repaint him. However, I did get a few models assembled for my Theme Force thread on the Privateer Press forums (located at http://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?113622-Theme-Force-Insanity). I'm happy to have 81 Theme Forces at 50 points, but it does take awhile to take photos of them all! :)

Painted Wrong Eye and Snapjaw

I've turned into an insomniac. Instead of sleeping, I decided to get these two models finished. They are going to be used in an event in a week, so I figured I should get them done with plenty of time to spare. They've worked well for me in past games for me (including locking down Molik Karn in an Unbound game) so I'm excited to see how they'll do painted.

They still need a dip like all of my Minions, but that'll be tomorrow with Rorsh and Brine.

June is definitely making up for the lack of painted models in the last two months...

Scarsfell Griffon and Gatorman Witch Doctor Preview

So it has been awhile since my last post. My apologies for that. Life has been busy since Adepticon and it won't slow down until June! Just crazy busy with weddings, baptisms, and work. I'll keep up with the new previews, however!

Boom! Goes the Dynamite!

Boom! Rorsh has entered the scene! Carrying his gun and his dynamite, he is a force to be reckoned with on the table. I'm very excited to have the pair painted and ready to go for the next event! This Tuesday will be great to get them played!

Bacon Incoming! Painted Brine

Trying to finish my Terminus list up for May, I needed to get Rorsh and Brine painted. I've rarely played them, but they hit pretty hard and provide a double handed throw in a list that wants to camp focus. The lesser warlocks all do great in Warmachine armies because their fury mechanic allows a lot of brute force in a list that may not have it with the focus mechanic. I'll have some battle reports next week with these guys!

He still needs a dip, but that will occur when Rorsh is done too.

Minion Road Hog Preview

The Road Hog, the highly awaited warbeast for Farrow. With its spray and speed buff, this thing can hurt a lot of troops.

Painted Saxon Orrik

And now the man that will give Pathfinder to whatever warrior model needs it most, Saxon Orrik. He has a special place in my heart because I can't make an Iron Lich Asphyxious list without including Saxon Orrik. Now that he's painted (he still needs a dip), he'll be able to be played competitively this year. Very awesome! The model is really easy to paint too, with generous detail everywhere.

Swamp Horror, Rok, and Exemplar Errants Previews

Privateer Press gave us three presents today, the Swamp Horror, Rok, and Exemplar Errants. We could have expected the first two, but the third was a complete surprise! Plastic, for a full 10 man unit, for cheaper than the metal models? Hell yes! That's awesome.

January Errata 2012

Privateer Press released their latest errata in time for convention season starting with Templecon. There were a bunch of changes that I'll list below that affect quite a bit of the game. A lot of groaning is being suffered by players who ran Skarre, Queen of the Broken Coast because her feat Fate Weaver can no longer target any battle engines, friendly or enemy.

Collection (1/4/12)

This is the entire collection, as of 1/4/12. I'm probably still missing some models that have been lent out to friends.

Painted Pendrake, Croak Hunter, and Swamp Gobbers - WIP

Here's my last post for 2011 and one that should be three separate posts! Here are the final four models I've got painted for 2011. They are Viktor Pendrake, a Croak Hunter, and the two man Swamp Gobber team. I'm happy with how they all came out and can't wait to see them dipped.

These 4 models put my total for 2011 to 61 models. My goal for next year was 75, but in light of the last month and a half, I'm raising my goal to 100. I should be able to do it and I've been really enjoying playing fully painted armies on the table.

Painted Thrullg 2 - WIP

So, instead of painting my Bog Trogs yet again, I decided to finish my second Thrullg. To separate the two on the battlefield, I took Seraphsong's suggestion and painted this one green. Simple scheme just the like the last one and it painted up quick.
