I have photos of all the armies except G Konkel's, because I forgot about it and we started our game really quickly after setting up just to be done.
My army in the carrying tray. I had a whole lot of extra warjacks in case I needed them, which I never did.
Round 1
Mary Ann's collection of models, because I forgot to take a picture before the game started. We played the scenario Command and Control. The primary goal of Command and Control is to control the center of the board with your army while your warcaster/warlock contests a flag. She won on warcaster/warlock kill. I played my Wraith Witch Deneghra list against her. She beat me with the following list:
- Borka the Kegslayer
- Mulg the Ancient
- Dire Troll Bomber
- Troll Impaler
- Trollkin Champions (5)
- Trollkin Scattergunners (6)
- Trollkin Long Riders (3)
- Fell Caller Hero
- Trollkin Champion Hero
Round 2
This is Hatred's army. It was a primarily ranged attrition force and it does it well. I played my Lich Lord Asphyxious list against him. The scenario was Destruction. The goal of was to destroy two objective markers on my opponent's side of the board. Hatred and I managed to each destroy one objective. I managed to destroy his entire army, however, and win through warcaster/warlock kill. His list was:
- Grim Angus
- Earthborn Dire Troll
- Dire Troll Blitzer
- Troll Impaler
- Trollkin Runebearer
- Trollkin Runeshapers
- Trollkin Fennblades (10)
- Trollkin Fennblade Officer and Drummer
- Cylena Raefyll & Nyss Hunters (10)
- Fell Caller Hero
- Janissa Stonehide
I played against Andy with his Legion army lead by Lylyth, Shadow of Everblight. His army is a scary first turn killer army which managed to hit a lot, but not roll damage for Andy. It was that way for turns one and two, as Andy managed to get a second round of shooting at Lich Lord Asphyxious but couldn't kill him. The scenario was Incursion. The objective was to control the flags in the center of the board. 3 start on the table, with 1 disappearing after the first round. The scenario was irrelevant for the game, as we both just tried to assassinate each other. The photo shows the game in progress because I forgot to take one at the beginning. I won by killing Lylyth with multiple Bile Thrall purges after she attempted her last assassination on Asphyxious. Andy's list was:
- Lylyth, Shadow of Everblight
- Ravagore
- Ravagore
- Seraph
- Nephilim Bolt Thrower
- Blighted Nyss Striders
- Blighted Nyss Strider Officer and Musician
- Blighted Nyss Raptors
- Annyssa Ryvaal, Talon of Everblight
- Blighted Nyss Shepherd
- Blighted Nyss Shepherd
I forgot to take a picture of G Konkel's painted Khador army. It makes me a little sad I forgot, as we pretty much played fully painted for the final round. We played the scenario Overrun which meant we had to control the center of the board. Konkel brought his anti-Cryx list while I played Lich Lord Asphyxious again. The game was a slaughterfest in which I left Konkel with 5 models to win the game. He tried to assassinate the Lich Lord from an amazing 16 inches away with Forward Kommander Sorscha utilizing Cyclone, Boundless Charge, and charging a model other than Asphyxious who was within two inches of him. He made it, but failed to hit and wasn't able to boost the damage roll to kill Asphyxious. I killed Sorscha the next turn. Konkel realized after the game that he forgot to deploy his Kossite Woodsmen too. His army was:
- Forward Kommander Sorscha
- Beast 09
- Kayazy Assassins (6)
- Kayazy Assassin Underboss
- Kossite Woodsmen (6)
- Widowmakers
- Winter Guard Rifle Corps (10)
- Fenris
- Kovnik Jozef Gregorovich
- Man-o-War Drakhun (no dismount)
- Manhunter
- Manhunter
- Widowmaker Marksmen
- Yuri the Axe
Last but not least, an odd duck.
Yay, good job taking some pictures! Also, that's a nice looking almost-completely painted army you've got there. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice work! My photos from Lock and Load are rather blurry, I'm afraid. I was coughing up a lung the entire time...
